Buses used to deliver mobile phone safety campaign
STARK images on the backs of Transdev Yellow Buses are highlighting the dangers of motorists using mobile phones at the wheel.

Road safety teams from Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset councils have joined forces to fund the 16-week campaign.
It uses the message: ‘The moment you know they’re driving…kill the conversation.’
The accompanying images show a motorist happily talking on a mobile phone to his partner before, seconds later, slumping over his steering wheel following a road accident.
The message is being displayed as a mega rear on a Transdev Yellow Bus double-decker as well as ten smaller rears.
Claire Elkins, Road Safety Officer, Bournemouth Borough Council, said: “Our key message is switch off your mobile phone or don’t answer it when it rings.”
Jenni Wilkinson, Head of Marketing, Transdev Yellow Buses, said: “We’re always delighted to support safety initiatives, particularly the dangers of using a mobile phone while driving.
“The images used in this campaign are extremely dramatic and really do get across the message very powerfully.”
