'Follow the footprints' as bus station makeover begins
FORGET footprints in the sand – it’s more a case of footprints in the subway as Transdev Yellow Buses (TYB) navigates passengers to new stops in Poole.

The company is using stick-on footprints, posters and banners, to help its customers find nearby temporary stops during a £300,000 makeover of the town’s bus station.
The refurbishment includes better lighting, new raised kerbs and an eye-catching mural featuring distinctive images of hot air balloons, water-skiers and divers.
Work is due to get underway on Monday January 12 and is expected to last 12 weeks.
Transport bosses at the Borough of Poole have praised TYB for the footprints campaign.
Nick Phillips, Accessibility Team Leader, Transportation Services, said: “This is an imaginative and fun way of getting information across to passengers during a period of temporary disruption.
“We’re delighted at the ongoing quality of bus services provided by Transdev Yellow Buses in the Poole area with the ‘18’ and ‘26’ routes, in particular, attracting a lot of good feedback.”
Jenni Wilkinson, TYB’s Head of Marketing, said: “We have worked closely with the council to make it easy as possible for our passengers to find the alternative stops. The Borough of Poole could not have been more helpful.”
