Drivers who are on the road have been asked to stop their buses at the nearest request stop – or safe parking area – at 11am and turn off their engines for the silent tribute.

As in previous years TYB is also displaying poppies on its 110-strong bus fleet.
Jenni Wilkinson, TYB’s Head of Marketing, said: “We recognise it is only a small gesture but we are proud to show our support for those who have put their lives on the line for our country.”

Mrs Wilkinson was joined by ex-paratrooper Kevin Conroy, Standard Bearer of the Winton and Moordown Royal British Legion, at the company’s Bournemouth headquarters for a short ceremony marking this year’s poppy appeal.
