Charity first to feature on new flagship Tempo fleet
DORSET & Somerset Air Ambulance is flying high after becoming the first charity to feature on Transdev Yellow Buses new flagship Tempo fleet.

The bus company has emblazoned a larger than life image of Tracy Bartram, Fundraising Coordinator, on the back and sides of a Tempo.
The goodwill gesture has been described by air ambulance chiefs as a “fantastic opportunity” to raise the charity’s awareness.
And according to Tracy, the 10ft image has already provoked plenty of banter from colleagues, friends and family.
She said: “My husband Vince, an ex-professional goalkeeper for Arsenal and AFC Bournemouth, asked me: ‘Can I have a copy for my Facebook page so when I tell people that my wife used to look like the back end of a bus – and now the back end of my bus looks like my wife – I can show them the proof!”
TYB is a keen supporter of Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance. Earlier this year it presented a £500 cheque from its innovative Carbon Stoppers campaign to the charity.
The bus company also donates unclaimed mobile phones to the air ambulance for recycling, raising approximately £5 from each phone.
Jenni Wilkinson, TYB’s Head of Marketing, said: “Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance is an excellent charity and we’re pleased to do our bit in further raising the profile of such a good cause.”
TYB’s fleet of 11 Tempo low-floor single-deckers operate on route 1a linking Bournemouth and Somerford.
The buses, which boast leather seats and wood-effect floors, can carry up to 66 passengers and cost £1.5 million.
