TRANSDEV Yellow Buses (TYB) rolled out the red carpet for a bus-mad youngster celebrating his 6th birthday.
Friends and family of Callum Haywood arranged the surprise visit to TYB’s depot in Yeomans Way, Bournemouth.
Jenni Wilkinson, TYB’s Head of Marketing, personally escorted Callum on a tour which included sitting in the driving seat of one of the company’s flagship Versas.
Callum, a pupil at Hillview Primary School in Bournemouth, was also presented with a model bus and a specially made birthday card.
His mum, Kara Haywood, 23, of Ensbury Park, Bournemouth, said: “I can’t tell you how grateful I am to Transdev Yellow Buses for organising this visit.
“Callum has been mad on buses since he was two and he’ll be talking about this visit for ages. He has more than 100 buses and is totally in love with them.”
Callum, who says he wants to be a bus driver when he’s grown up, described the tour as “very exciting.”
Jenni Wilkinson, TYB’s Head of Marketing, said: “Callum is an amazing little boy who knows an incredible amount about buses. It’s been a real pleasure to show him what goes on behind the scenes of a busy bus company.”
