More than 40 businesses have joined forces with Yellow Buses (YB) to provide discounts and special offers during the festival’s four days.

They range from gift shops, restaurants and photographers through to hairdressers, florists , cinemas and tourist attractions.

The ‘FairShare’ promotion is open to customers showing a Yellow Buses’ Glo smartcard or YB ticket.

Full details, including participating businesses and information about the offers, can be found on the Yellow Buses’ website

The offers are only valid between August 18 and 21 unless specifically mentioned in individual terms and conditions.

‘Fairshare’ is the brainchild of Boscombe Traders Association and was first launched during the 2010 Bournemouth Air Festival.

The number of participating retailers has grown by 60 per cent since last year.

Spokesman Angus Reid said: “FairShare not only helps businesses but also encourages people to use public transport.”

Jenni Wilkinson, Yellow Buses’ Head of Marketing, said: “Anything which helps generate trade for our local retailers is a good thing. We’re very pleased to support this initiative.”
