ONE of Bournemouth’s best known ambassadors has joined Yellow Buses (YB) in the new role of Customer Services Manager.
Gareth Edwards was most recently a Customer Services Team Leader with Bournemouth Tourism in the resort’s Tourist Information Centre.
The 38-year-old, who has spent his career in customer services, will now be responsible for responding to passenger comments and complaints.
Reporting to Jenni Wilkinson, Head of Marketing, he will also develop customer service standards, policies and procedures as well as develop YB’s social media sites.
Jenni said: “Our main aim in creating this new position is to ensure we are providing outstanding customer service.
“Gareth has a highly successful track record in customer services and we’re delighted to welcome him to the Yellows.”
Gareth, who is married with a young daughter, said: “I have a lot to learn but also a lot to bring to the job.
“It’s a really exciting opportunity to carve out a new role and I’m looking forward to making a positive difference.”
