Roles & responsibilities (1)

Purpose of this position:


  • The main purpose of this role is to analyse and develop the financial processes, systems and information needs of the business using Business Intelligence software and develop lean financial systems. You will contribute to implementation of change processes and new systems and controls.
Key objectives:


  • Support finance team through budgets, forecasts and year end
  • Provide financial analysis using business intelligence software

Roles & responsibilities (3)
Key responsibilities:


  1. Review, design and develop finance processes and ensure integration into existing systems
  2. Development of financial models to review areas of the profit and loss
  3. Analysis of financial data
  4. Manage the development of finance and Business Intelligence systems
  5. Assist with development of existing IT systems within the business to maximise their use and to improve quality and accuracy of reporting
  6. Responsibility for cash office and business banking
  7. Management of day to day IT and assessment of the merits of IT outsourcing to implement accordingly.
  8. Continually review and develop systems of internal control, undertaking internal audits to ensure integrity of data and consistency of output.
  9. Adhoc systems investigation and implementation

Freedom to act in day to day within the guidelines set and agreed by the Financial Controller and Company Policy.

Qualifications: Relevant Accounting qualification or qualified by experience.

  • Proven background of working in a Finance environment
  • Previous experience of Business analysis/carrying out internal audits and financial accounting
  • Cognos/BI systems experience
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Competency in using Microsoft applications
  • Desirable – previous Staff Management experience
