Customer feedback leads to change from ‘listening’ Yellows
YOU’VE spoken, we’ve listened.
Yellow Buses (YB) is to change the bus destination display for one of its most popular services in response to customer feedback.
Currently the Yellows’ route 6 from Bournemouth Square terminates at either Bearwood or Wallisdown.
The simple change will avoid Bearwood customers climbing on the wrong bus.
Jenni Wilkinson, YB’s Head of Marketing, said: “All the buses on our 6 route serve Wallisdown.
“The confusion arose when customers found they were on the bus terminating in Wallisdown rather than going through to Bearwood.
“This simple change to the destination blind (or display) on the front of the bus should avoid any confusion in the future.
“We asked our passengers if they wanted the buses to say 6a or 6b and they preferred 6b and 6w.
“We’re now adopting the same principle for our route 3 services to Castlepoint, which will become the 3c, and the Royal Bournemouth Hospital (3h).
“This shows that we do genuinely listen to feedback from our customers and act accordingly.”
