Roses are red, buses are yellow…
STAFF from Yellow Buses handed out thousands of Love Hearts, cards and red roses in time for Valentine’s Day.
For the tenth year in a row the Yellows displayed love for their passengers with the public show of affection.
Standing in Bournemouth Square, staff distributed the love tokens to the passengers and passers-by.
With Valentine’s Day being a Sunday, they were out and about on the Friday before.
Yellow Buses’ Head of Marketing Jenni Wilkinson said: “Handing out a few goodies on Valentine’s Day is a small way of saying thank you to our passengers for travelling with us.
“We’ve been doing it for a number of years now and people really look forward to it.
“We always raise a few smiles and because this year we handed them out on the 12th, we helpfully reminded many people that the day was almost upon us.
“The reaction from passengers and shoppers ranged from bemusement to absolute delight.”
As part of Yellow Buses’ Valentine’s Day celebrations it held a poetry competition, which was won by Brian Case.
