YELLOW Buses is to revise some of its fares from Sunday October 23.
The changes include:
- Withdrawal of the Network Plus ticket, costing £5.70, which covers the renamed airport service 14. Instead a single from Bournemouth to the airport on the 14 will be just £2.40, for example, as this service joins the main network fare structure for single, return and day tickets.
- Some ‘short hop’ fares will increase from £1.60 to £2 while a small number of ‘medium hop’ fares will rise from £2 to £2.40.
- Ending the discount for paying for single and return fares by the Glo smartcard. In future, Glo card single and return fares will cost the same as their cash equivalents. However, the day ticket discount remains in place.
Jeff Clayton, Yellow Buses’ Head of Network Development, said: “These changes are part of our continuing drive to simplify fares and ticketing.
“The YB Move app at £12 for 7 days travel or £39.99 for 30 days offers great value as do our Glo passes.
“On our YB Move app we have recently introduced a 1 hour single for just £1.99 and all our passes on Move are calculated in 24 hour days giving additional value to our passengers.”
