Engineering Workshop Supervisor

We are looking for a Supervisor for our Engineering Team, located in a state of the art workshop. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you be responsible for all workshop staff on your shift. This role will be focused on ensuring that sufficient, clean and reliable vehicles are available for day to day service making the best use of systems, people and other resources. This will be a combination of routine and proactive planned maintenance. It is important that you share your technical expertise through advising, supporting and developing staff. You will also be responsible for ensuring that vehicle information is accurate and up to date.

The successful candidate will be able to manage a varied workload and meet challenging deadlines. As a consequence, you will need to be well organised, calm and cheerful under pressure. You will need 3 years’ experience in vehicle maintenance including diagnostics. Experience in the public transport industry would be an advantage. This role involves some people management, so you will need to be a good role model with strong interpersonal skills and good judgement.

This role is 40 hours per week. The shift pattern will be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate.
